Project Manager Seeding Alliance GmbH

Betim Makolli

Seeding Alliance: Please introduce yourself briefly. What position are you taking on with us? In which areas have you worked before? What experience do you have?

My name is Betim and I am 26 years old. I am here in the role of a project manager. I have previously worked for various publishers and as a Technical Ad Operations Manager at Madsack. So I know both sides of the work and can serve with a little experience.

Why did you apply to the Seeding Alliance?

I knew both native advertising and the product beforehand and always found the presentation very exciting. I also wanted to specialise further in the digital advertising sector and where better than with the pioneer of native advertising?

Have you always wanted to work in the marketing industry?

In fact, that’s not the case. In the past, I wanted to sit in the office all day and edit pictures using Photoshop. But when I only edited animal videos for a newspaper for a while, I quickly got bored and wanted to change my career. That’s how I ended up in marketing.

Explain to me what exactly your tasks are with us.

First and foremost, I look after our SAAS customers and manage existing publishers. You could also call my work here project management. I am the interface between our publishers and the technology, so to speak.

Do you have any expectations of us? What do you hope to gain from your time at the Seeding Alliance?

That probably sounds a bit cliché but actually I just want to have a good time with nice colleagues and have fun with my daily tasks. Of course, I also hope to gain a deeper insight into the field of native advertising so that I can develop personally.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Unfortunately, I have to admit that I am a full-time nerd. In fact, I sit in front of the PC a lot in my free time and rarely go out into the fresh air. This is compounded by the fact that I don’t yet know anyone here with whom I could pursue the normal hobbies. But I’m sure that will come.

If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?

Loud, definitely nerdy and impulsive, but in a positive and less scary way.
