Diversity. For Us, It’s More Than a Word.

At Ströer, we don’t see diversity as an initiative – we see it as a mindset. It comes to life in many forms: through different backgrounds, perspectives, ideas, and life experiences. What matters to us isn’t where someone comes from, what they look like, or whom they love – but what they contribute, how they think, and what they want to achieve.

We create a work environment built on openness, respect, and appreciation – regardless of age, origin, gender, identity, or physical or mental abilities.

Because we believe: diversity doesn’t stand in the way of focus or success. On the contrary – it’s our strength. And it’s what makes us ready for the future.

Empowering Women in the Company

Empowher

The company’s own women’s network was launched in 2022 with the aim of empowering women in their professional development and fostering meaningful connections. It provides a platform where dedicated colleagues can exchange ideas, support one another, and work together toward a more equitable and successful future.

The vision: to create a culture of empowerment where women meet each other with confidence, strength, and solidarity—driving change and paving the way for greater equality of opportunity.

Once per quarter, all participants meet for breakfast, lunch, or coffee to network across departments and business units. Each meeting features a keynote from female colleagues within the Group. In addition, regular digital workshops take place—most recently on the topic of “Communicating Confidently and Charmingly.”

Women in Leadership

Since 2016, the corporate alliance “Women in Leadership” has existed in Cologne. The executive boards of now 15 leading Cologne-based companies have committed themselves to actively promoting equality between women and men. The goal is to strengthen women in leadership positions, increase their visibility, and encourage exchange and collaboration.

Since November 2023, Ströer has been the patron of the alliance, represented by Henning Gieseke and Birgit Oßendorf-Will. With the motto “EmpowHER NOW!” we are sending a clear signal for greater visibility and networking of women—within the company and beyond.
